In addition, we process data that is necessary for the service to function, such as login sessions, which videos you have watched, and questions you submit during broadcasts. The legal basis is primarily contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Somsagt Online uses only strictly necessary cookies. We use no tracking, marketing or analytics cookies.
better-auth.session_token — keeps you logged in. HttpOnly, encrypted, renewed on use for 7 days.i18next — remembers your selected language so you don't have to choose again.We also use the browser's local storage (localStorage) to remember display preferences such as theme (light/dark) and whether you prefer list or grid view in the archive. This data never leaves your device.
Personal data is stored only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as long as applicable regulations require. When your access ends, your account is deactivated and the data is deleted after a reasonable transition period.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may also file a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
